This is a quick guide to install MATLAB on your workstation with your own license, provided by your personal MathWorks account.
Step-by-step guide
First of all, you need a MathWorks account with one or more licenses associated to your profile (https://it.mathworks.com/mwaccount/)
- Select the product you want to install, and click on the download button (a down arrow, in the third column from the right side of the list of your software).
- Take note about the license id (section: 2. Download product files), and select the right installer for the distribution of your system (Windows, Mac or Linux).
- Please, note that the page of the web_downloads has several helpful links.
- After the download, move the .zip installer file in your preferred path, and extract all the files.
- Run the installer; a window will be opened:
- select the "Log in with a MatWorks Account" installation method, then type the "Next >" button;
- accept the terms of the license agreement (bullet point "Ο Yes"), then type the "Next >" button;
- insert the email address and password of your MathWorks Account, then type the "Next >" button;
- select the "Install" action, then type the "Next >" button;
- select the license of the product that you want to install, then type the "Next >" button;
- select the installation folder, then type the "Next >" button;
- select the products to install from the list (don't select the License Manager if you don't need it), then type the "Next >" button;
- insert the full path to the license file, then type the "Next >" button;
- [OPTIONAL] insert the path where you want to create of the symbolic link to MATLAB scripts, then type the "Next >" button;
- type the "Install" button
- Complete the installation, following the possible message returned by the installer.
